It’s almost a religion. For believers in the UFO/UAP phenomenon this place is almost like a religious temple or shrine. It is a place where they often come to gather, search for answers, and even pray. Why is this place so special to so many?
The mailbox that marks the spot today isn’t even black. When I went out there to the site just recently the thing was bright green and covered in graffiti and stickers. It seems as if people really do treat this as some sort of religion. While it might resemble something from a Sci-fi movie or a counterculture movement, I quickly realized that this isn’t a cult of lunatics. These are some serious people, with serious beliefs.
Not everyone who comes here believes in aliens and crazy creatures. Some believers say that their interpretation is more realistic and direct their focus towards secret government programs. Others insist that there is no doubt that alien creatures are being preserved deep behind these mountains at a not-so secretive military base. I myself fall into the first group, but I still have questions.
